Gina is a board-certified clinical oncologist in rural Ohio and a mother of five children. Her plaque reads RN, MD, MOM. She received her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in 1990. Her residency training was at The University of Cincinnati as was her oncology fellowship, which was completed in 1995. She has been a hospital-employed physician since 1999. In oncology, she is a solo practitioner. In 2003, Gina was named Ohio’s Patient Advocate of the Year by the Ohio Society for Healthcare Consumer Advocacy (OSHCA).
